Ken Turton: An Early Believer in the Urban Core

After landing in Sacramento following college in the late 1980s, Ken Turton saw the future. Experts were predicting that people living in digital worlds would crave community. Turton saw that in the coffee houses already proliferating midtown Sacramento.

These days, Turton and his boutique firm, Turton Commercial Real Estate, are helping that prediction come to life. Since he opened the firm in 2010, Turton Commercial has been the brokerage for several properties that became hip urban projects. The list includes 16 Powerhouse, the MARRS building, 1001 K St. and several on the R Street corridor.
