West Sacramento Gets State Money for Grand Gateway Project, Streetcars

State Sen. Christopher Cabaldon announced this week $43.35 million for West Sacramento toward streetcars to cross the Tower Bridge into Downtown Sacramento, and for 114 affordable housing units in the city’s Grand Gateway project.

Grand Gateway, 8.6 acres on city-owned land at Grand Street and Tower Bridge Gateway, would include 341 market-rate and 114 affordable rental units, 30,000 square feet of retail and up to 140 hotel rooms, along with parking.
