For over a decade, Ian has built a career grounded in the financial and transactional sides of real estate specializing in property sales and leasing, tenant representation, and 1031 exchanges.
Ian began his career on the financial side, working for a prominent hard money commercial lender in Sacramento as a loan officer and underwriter. In 2017, he transitioned to residential lending, facilitating over 1,100 purchase and refinance transactions. In 2021, Ian expanded his expertise into commercial brokerage, joining a small boutique Sacramento-based firm where he honed his skills as a broker specializing in both tenant and owner representation across office, retail, and industrial sectors.
In 2025, Ian joined the Turton team, guided by a simple but powerful principle “good business fosters more business” a philosophy deeply embraced by his small business-owning parents. Growing up in Carmichael, he attended Jesuit High School in Sacramento, then continued his education at Seattle University, ultimately graduating from California State University at Fullerton. During high school and college, Ian played and coached soccer and rugby, experiences that continue to fuel his passion for teamwork and perseverance.
Ian leverages his financial background and real estate knowledge to support local property owners and tenants seeking to expand, optimize, or stabilize. He brings advanced underwriting skills and a commitment to prompt, clear communication, all aimed at enhancing the value and understanding of his clients’ real estate decisions.
Beyond the office, Ian considers himself fortunate to share his life with his middle school crush and now his wife Kristen, a portfolio manager for a local private investor. Their three-year-old son Teddy brings them a joy, purpose, and sense of direction they hadn’t realized was missing.
