After Planning, Project Elevate Seeing Pre-leasing Momentum in Elk Grove

After years of planning, Elk Grove’s Project Elevate is seeing good pre-leasing activity ahead of a formal project application in upcoming months.

Darrell Doan, the city’s economic development director, said development partner CenterCal Properties LLC could then be on a path to start construction as soon as late 2027.

“It’s a big project and a unique project type,” Doan said of Project Elevate, the city’s bid to create an urban center of destination retail, hospitality and office space on 20.45 acres of city-owned land.

Doan said CenterCal is now working with Turton Commercial Real Estate on pre-leasing what’s expected to be about 100,000 square feet of retail space in Project Elevate.
