Downtown Dova’s Developers Aim for Late Summer Groundbreaking

KozPure Development LLC’s vision of creating a central hub and destination for Rancho Cordova could start to become reality within months.

Company CEO Josh Wood said he believes groundbreaking will begin in August or September for the first phase of his firm’s Downtown Dova project, a 7,500-seat arena and outdoor plaza on 4.5 acres.

Downtown Dova’s arena, scheduled to open in November 2027, will host men’s and women’s Major Arena Soccer League teams, both of which are also being assembled, particularly off the field, as the project moves toward construction, Wood said.

Beyond the arena and plaza, Downtown Dova is slated to have up to 1,000 residential units, 1,000 hotel rooms and 144,000 square feet of commercial space. Turton Commercial Real Estate is working on brokerage for KozPure.
