Former UFC Fighter Urijah Faber Expanding Sacramento Gym to Roseville

Former professional mixed martial artist and Sacramento local Urijah Faber is expanding his gym to Roseville.

Urijah Faber’s Ultimate Fitness gym is opening soon at 8801 Washington Blvd., Suite 103, Faber told the Sacramento Business Journal. He said the gym is already offering classes in a temporary space in the same building at Suite 107.

Faber started Ultimate Fitness in 2006 in a Midtown Sacramento space at 17th and I streets. After 10 years in that location, the gym moved to its current address at 6700 Folsom Blvd. near California State University Sacramento. He said the gym also briefly opened a Rancho Cordova location years ago that has since closed.

Faber said he is opening the new location because he has seen demand for the gym, which offers mixed martial arts classes, youth sports and general fitness, in Roseville. Faber, who calls himself a “Sacramento guy,” grew up Placer County. He said giving back to the community is important to him.

Turton Commercial Real Estate represented Faber and Ultimate Fitness in finding the new space. In an email, Turton broker Scott Kingston said the space is about 15,000 square feet.

Faber said he is still finalizing a grand opening date for the permanent space, but customers can book classes now at the temporary space.
