With the upcoming arrival of two locally owned businesses, midtown Sacramento’s MARRS building will be fully leased.
Sleek Wax Bar and Getta Clue are joining the retail lineup at the building at 1050 20th St.
Sleek Wax Bar will fill approximately 1,400 square feet downstairs in the MARRS building, according to Jon Lang of Turton Commercial Real Estate, who represented the tenant in the deal. It’s scheduled to open by early February.
It’s the first location for the locally owned business, which will offer various waxing services for men and women.
The midtown store is expected to serve as a cornerstone location for the business, which might eventually have additional stores.
Getta Clue is a well-established urban apparel store in the Sacramento region. Scott Gilbert and Justin Bilbao co-own Getta Clue in Downtown Plaza and GoodStock Boutique in Arden Fair.
Getta Clue will fill 2,200 square feet in the MARRS building, according to Gilbert. Over the next few weeks, the company will co-host some events in the MARRS space near Peet’s Coffee & Tea before converting it into a full-fledged apparel store after the holidays.
It was not immediately clear whether the midtown store is a relocation of the existing Downtown Plaza site.
Aaron Marchand of Turton represented the landlord in the Sleek Wax Bar deal. Marchand also represented the landlord and the tenant in the Getta Clue deal.
