Description: Proposal to develop a 20-acre downtown in Rancho Cordova, centered around a 7,500-seat sports arena. The arena would encompass the first phase of the project and would accommodate both a men’s and a women’s team playing for the Major Arena Soccer League. A central community plaza would be built outside the arena. Later phases would include up to 1,000 residential units, 800 to 1,000 hotel rooms, and 144,000 square feet of commercial space.
Location: On 20 acres east of where Kilgore Road meets Trade Center Drive in Rancho Cordova

Status: In September 2025, the Rancho Cordova City Council approved a preliminary economic development and participation agreement with the developers. Pending approval of a formal development plan, developers say construction could start in 2026, with a goal of opening the arena by fall 2027. Timing for future phases of the project would be market driven.
