EXCLUSIVE: Former Pyramid Building will be Revamped with Retail, Event Space and Apartments

It won’t be long before the former Pyramid brewery building in downtown Sacramento will be serving up lots more than beer.
Ransohoff Building at 11th and K streets is about midway through a transformation into an event center, new retail space and 21 upscale apartments.
As part of the transformation, the building will be rebranded as the MAY building. the name reflects the building’s construction in 1911 as the Mohr and Yoerk Packing Co., a grocery and butcher shop. At the time, that was the first refrigerated meat market in the city, according to the building owner Sutter Capital Group.
