
Top Commercial Brokers Win Awards

Sacramento-area commercial real estate brokers recognized top performers from 2012 and collected more than $300,000 for charity at Thursday night’s annual Broker of the Year awards dinner.
More than 700 attended the event, organized by the Association of Commercial Real Estate, at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento.

Honored as broker of the year was Steven Nelson of Hendricks & Partners. The “Broker’s Choice” award went to Skip Vanderbundt of Cornish & Carey Commercial Newmark Knight Frank. Named “Rookie of the Year” was Aaron Marchand of Turton Commercial.
Others honored for their work in 2012 were:
Elliot Williams, a market research analyst at Jones Lang LaSalle, won the 17th annual Trainor Fairbrook Humanitarian Award. Williams donated a kidney to a coworker who suffered from a rare disorder and might soon have died without the transplant.
