Land Near Downtown Davis Sold for Development

Hallmark Properties has bought land near downtown Davis where the city has teed up more commercial development.

The properties — 1031, 1037 and 1041 Olive Drive — total 18,679 square feet and are occupied by three small residential units. Escrow closed Tuesday at $1.375 million, according to Scott Kingston of Turton Commercial Real Estate, which brokered the deal on behalf of the sellers.

“I got more calls on this than any other property I’ve sold,” said Kingston, a vice president at Turton. Before the firm even began marketing the property on behalf of the Callori family, there were five offers, including all-cash buyers wanting to close the deal quickly, he said.
